By law you are allowed a copy of your credit report once per year for free.  You should do this to confirm that the information they are reporting about you is accurate.  The safest and easiest way to obtain your free yearly report is to go to: www.annualcreditreport.com

How to Fix Errors
Each agency has contact methods you can use to send your evidence that the reported item is in error.  The agency has 30 days to respond.
